The Energy Storage Application Working Committee of the China Energy Internet Industry Alliance (CEIA) hosted the Energy Storage Application Sub-forum and Working Committee Meeting at the Zhangjiang Science Hall. The event was part of the China Energy Internet Conference (CEIC), a grand conference organized by Tsinghua University and CEIA. The sub-forum brought together representatives of members from various sectors of the energy storage industry, such as power generation groups, power grids, universities, research institutes, upstream and downstream enterprises, etc. They shared their insights and opinions on the future development of technology in the field of energy storage.
The sub-forum was opened by Mr. Jia Junguo, Chairman of the Energy Storage Application Working Committee of CEIA, and Mr. Chen Zhongqiu, Party Secretary, Chairman, and Vice Chairman of the Energy Storage Application Working Committee of China Communications Electromechanical Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. They gave warm speeches and welcomed the participants.
The sub-forum featured seven keynote speeches by well-known experts from the State Grid Shanghai Energy Internet Research Institute, CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, Electric Power Planning and Design Institute, NIO, GoodWe, and E-Lan Technology. The topics of the speeches covered various aspects of energy storage, such as smart and efficient energy storage systems, distributed new energy asset digital preservation and value enhancement, mobile energy storage power supply application technology and development thinking, diversified scenarios and system matching of industrial and commercial energy storage, key control technologies for large-scale electrochemical energy storage stations, and coordinated development of electric vehicles and new power systems.

After the speeches, the Energy Storage Application Working Committee held a closed-door meeting. Mr. Pang Qingguo, Secretary-General of the Energy Storage Application Working Committee of CEIA, summarized the highlights and shortcomings of the work in 2023, and reported the work plan for 2024. Since its establishment in February 2032, the Energy Storage Application Working Committee currently has 73 member units and 80 committee members, including 24 large state-owned enterprises, 40 private enterprises, 4 universities and research institutions, and 5 investment institutions. In the past 8 months, more than 20 visits and exchanges between enterprises have been completed, and 2 project investments and financings have been facilitated between member units, achieving very good progress.
Finally, in the collective discussion session, representatives of member units also offered suggestions and recommendations for the future development of the Energy Storage Application Working Committee. The Energy Storage Application Sub-forum ended successfully in the enthusiastic discussion.
