The China Energy Internet Alliance was established in 2017 under the guidance and support of the National Energy Administration, led by Tsinghua University, and established after the official approval of the National Energy Administration. It is a national, joint and non-profit industry organization formed by technological innovation, industrial development, equipment promotion and application, institutions, universities, testing and certification institutions, service organizations and related social organizations engaged in Energy Internet in accordance with the principle of "voluntariness, equality and cooperation".
The president of the council is Academician You Zheng, the former vice president of Tsinghua University. The secretariat of the alliance is located in the Energy Internet Research Institute, Tsinghua University. The secretary-general is Gao Wensheng, executive vice president of the Energy Internet Research Institute, Tsinghua University.
Up to now, the alliance has 16 executive director units and more than 300 members from the government, industry, scientific research, universities, finance and users, involving clean energy power generation, information interconnection integration, energy information services, energy financial investment, energy technology equipment and other fields and industries. Eight specialized committees have been successively established, including "Energy Internet Standardization", "Industrial Innovation and Engineering Application", "Energy Digitalization", "Energy Internet of Things", "Smart Hydrogen Energy", "Power Carbon Neutrality", "Energy Storage Application", and "Green Transportation".
Over the years, the China Energy Internet Alliance has adhered to the guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, with the aim of "Combine resources from all parties to cultivate and develop Energy Internet and its related industries, help build a green, low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy system, promote the development of new technologies, new models and new formats of Energy Internet, and support and promote the energy revolution”.
The alliance has successively led the organization of the first batch of "Internet +" smart energy (Energy Internet) demonstration project declaration, review, management, acceptance and summary of the National Energy Administration, launched the "Energy Internet Lecture Hall", established the "Energy Digitalization Demonstration Project Review" event, and held several China Energy Internet Conferences, building a professional platform for the government, universities, and enterprises to connect intelligence, fellowship, industry, exchange, communication and integration and give full play to the role of the government, universities, and enterprises as a bridge and a guide, continuously improve the service capabilities of the industry and become an important force to promote the healthy, orderly and rapid development of the energy Internet industry.
