Professor and director of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University, Director of Tsinghua Energy Internet Innovation Research Institute, Director of Tsinghua Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute, IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, National Outstanding Young Scientist Fund recipient, selected for the second batch of National "Ten Thousand People Plan" scientific and technological innovation leaders, received the Fok Ying Tung Foundation Preferential Grant, selected for the Ministry of Education's New Century Talent Programme. His main research interests include power system planning, power system optimisation, energy internet, renewable energy, low carbon power technology, load forecasting and power market. He has presided over more than 10 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects, including one key project of international cooperation, one key project of joint fund, one Sino-European cooperation research project, one Sino-British cooperation and exchange fund, one Sino-US exchange fund, and one Sino-Korean bilateral meeting fund; three of them were awarded as excellent closing projects of NSFC. 2016, as the project leader, he was approved for the National Key Research and Development Programme (NKRP). In 2016, he was approved as the project leader of the National Key Research and Development Programme (NKRDP) for the 2016 project of "Smart Grid Technology and Equipment", which is "Basic Theory of Power System Planning and Operation for Grid Integration of High Percentage of Renewable Energy Sources". He serves as deputy director of the Editorial Board of China Electric Power, deputy editor-in-chief of Power System Protection and Control, Power Construction, Grid Technology, and Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems (PCMP), and deputy editor-in-chief of Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy (MPCE), and as editor-in-chief of Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy (MPCE).
