Expert in power electronics and control technology, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, professorial senior engineer, recipient of the State Council special allowance, chief scientist of CSR, dean of the School of Mechanical and Transportation Engineering of Hunan University, and chairman of the board of directors of CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute, Ding Rongjun graduated from the Southwest Jiaotong University and entered the Ministry of Railways Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute in 1984, where he worked as a designer, director of the AC transmission room, and director of the applied technology research department. Transmission Room, Director of Applied Technology Research Department; graduated from Changsha Institute of Railway with a Master's Degree in 1998; worked at CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute in 2000, successively serving as Deputy Director of Scientific Research, Deputy General Manager of Scientific Research, and General Manager; obtained a doctorate degree from CSU in 2008; was elected as an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2011; served as the Vice-Chairman of Hunan Provincial Association of Science and Technology in 2016 President; in 2017, he was appointed as the Dean of the School of Mechanical and Transportation Engineering of Hunan University. in 2022, he was appointed as the first Dean of the School of Microelectronics of Southwest Jiaotong University - CSR Times. He has long been engaged in theoretical research, technology development and engineering application of railway rolling stock AC drive and network control technology.
