Center for Green Transportation Electrification and Efficient Energy Conversion
Responsibilities:
1. Research the operating characteristics and modeling of electric vehicles, energy storage, flexible loads and distributed energy resources.
2. Research the models, strategies and algorithms for optimal dispatch and operational control of coordinated source-grid-load-storage in power systems.
3. Research application-scenario analysis and integrated planning of source-grid-load-storage coordination.
4. Plan, apply for and implement research projects, and assist in supervising graduate students.
Requirements / Qualifications:
1. PhD in Electrical Engineering, Automation or a related field.
2. A research foundation in power-system analysis or power-system dispatch/control is preferred.
3. Demonstrated research outputs during the PhD and strong research capability.
4. Some foundation in programming and simulation analysis.
5. Strong learning and summarization skills and good teamwork.
