In June 2026, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) announced the list of winners of the 2026 "IEC 1906 Award". Li Lili, an expert of our institute, was honored with the 2026 IEC 1906 Award for his outstanding contributions in the field of international standardization, serving as Convener of the IEC SyC SET AHG1 working group and a core member of Working Groups WG6 and WG7.
Introduction to the IEC 1906 Award and the List of Winners
Founded in 1906, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) launched the "IEC 1906 Award" in 2004 to recognize experts who have made outstanding contributions to IEC international standard development, technical coordination and international cooperation. The award is nominated by IEC technical committees (TCs), subcommittees (SCs) and system committees (SyCs), reviewed and issued by the IEC Central Office, and presented once a year. It is an important honor conferred by the IEC upon international standardization experts.
In recent years, our institute has actively participated in international standardization work and deeply integrated into the IEC international standards system. As Convener of the IEC SyC SET AHG1 working group, Li Lili has led his team in organizing global experts to carry out the identification and research of key tasks in sustainable electrification systems, and, as a core member of WG6 (dynamic carbon emission measurement) and WG7 (automation and intelligent solutions), has continuously promoted research on international standards in fields such as dynamic carbon emission measurement for electric transportation and high-power automatic charging, playing an active role in bringing China’s relevant technological achievements and standardization practices to the international stage.
